Georgia CE: From Inspection Report to Amendment

Interpreting inspection reports can be a challenge for Realtors when writing an Amendment to Address Concerns. Sometimes key items are not clarified with the seller or the proper correction is not requested. These cases leave both the buyer and seller in a precarious position. This course will navigate an inspection report section by section. We will discuss the difference between a condition and a recommendation, identify how to interpret the findings when writing an amendment, and learn to recognize when further consultation is recommended. As agents understand the inspector’s frame of reference, they will be better able to negotiate better resolutions to inspection issues in their amendments and better represent their client’s interests, whether they be a buyer or seller.
