Georgia CE: Affordable and Accessible Housing in Atlanta

This class will give the students the opportunity to learn the history of housing and zoning ordinances and what effect those have had on opportunities and barriers for home ownership and rental in metro Atlanta, consumers turn to real estate agents when it comes to issues related to housing. Students who have taken this class will have knowledge gained on the history and current zoning ordinances and their effects on home prices and accessibility in Atlanta. Using case studies, growth projections, and a discussion of national and local remedies, students will be well equipped to form an opinion on local ordinance changes as they arise and to direct the consumers to objective information.
