Jeff Luther
Jeff Luther is the founder and president of Home-Probe, Inc., the home inspection company. What began in 2002 has now grown to become one of the most referred home inspection companies in the Southeast.While recognized as an industry leader for home inspection, Jeff is most proud that Home-Probe is in the business of making people’s lives better. That includes the people he works with, the real estate agents who work with him, and the clients who rely on him.
Jeff sets high standards for the home inspection profession and for himself. He has built a team with more than 426,000 hours of construction and inspection experience who work together to make the company’s next inspection its best inspection. He contributes locally and nationally to furthering home inspection as a profession through published articles in the ASHI Reporter and speaking at state and national home inspector conferences, including the 2023 InspectionWorld.
His certifications include:
- 20-year Certified Inspector, American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)
- International Code Council (ICC).
- Licensed home inspector in North and South Carolina (no licensing available in Georgia)
- Certified mold inspector
- Environmental Protection Agency in National Radon Proficiency.
Jeff is also a founding member of Entrepreneurs' Organization Charleston. He shares his business expertise and wisdom regularly as a guest speaker and on his podcast, The Inspector Alliance.
Before beginning Home-Probe, Jeff worked as a Project Manager for Georgia-Pacific Corporation for two years on a Class Action Suit filed against G-P regarding a product called Hardboard Siding. His time was primarily spent doing on-site evaluations including single-family home inspections, apartment building inspections, condominium inspections, and townhome inspections throughout the Southeast.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Jeff now calls Charleston home with his three sons, and rescue dog, Sarge. You’ll most likely find him outside, whether it’s fishing or taking Sarge for a run.
